CYNDI BANKS

Garden Manager (North Carolina)

Cyndi joined the PLANTERS team after working for 6 years as the Manager of the Highlands Biological Station where she oversaw the general operation and supervised its 11 acre botanical garden. As Garden Manager for the PLANTERS North Carolina office, Cyndi puts this unique career experience, as well as her Horticulture studies at Clemson University, to work for us everyday.

Cyndi is interested in Native American ethnobotany and installed a Plants of the Cherokee garden during her time at the Biological Station. Likewise, her interest in history and preservation keeps her actively involved in various genealogy-based membership organizations.

An enthusiastic musician, Cyndi sings in her church choir and plays highland bagpipes as well. And when she is not making music she is busy with the local beekeeping association in Pickens Co., SC.
